It was a simple plan. Grab the Brompton, the 2 bags for Thailand, and hop an Amtrak from Buffalo to NYC on Wednesday morning. Then this happened:
About 70 inches of lake effect snow dumped on to the village of East Aurora over 24 hours. No trains, no planes, a local driving ban, interstates and thruways shut down. So all that’s left to do is typical snow day activities:
Burying my parents’ Siberian huskies in the snow:
And, of course, a little early winter Brompton ride:
They didn’t say anything about a Brompton ban.
Tomorrow I’ve got a train ticket and a refundable plane ticket as insurance. Gotta get to NYC to get to Bangkok!
